Yes. Our developers are part of the project from day one, instead of being dropped in at the end to code from a pile of design files. We build sites collaboratively, so design and development work together to make something that’s both attractive and functional.
When we build a site in-house, we also handle ongoing support, including security and plugin updates. Every site is built to adapt as your needs change, so content updates are simple and you’re not staring down a complete rebuild every time your business evolves.
Probably not. Finished designs that land on our desk almost always skip over strategy, accessibility, and long-term flexibility, which means they’re not set up for success. We work best when we’re involved from the start, so the site looks great and works the way your business needs it to.
For most of our clients, WordPress is the best balance of flexibility, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. It’s open source, which means you’re not locked into a single vendor, and it’s supported by a massive developer community which makes it easier to maintain, customize, and extend as your needs change. Our developers know it inside and out, so we can build sites that are secure, fast, and easy for you to update.
That said, WordPress isn’t the right fit for every project. We have experience with other platforms and are happy to recommend what makes the most sense for your goals, budget, and technical requirements. For example, if you’re selling products online, Shopify might be the best choice, and we are happy to design, build, and support sites on that platform too.
No. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all marketing. Every engagement starts with understanding your goals, your audience, and your resources so we can build a plan that makes sense for you. That means we’ll recommend the right mix of audits, strategy, and ongoing support based on where you are now and where you want to be without forcing you into a pre-set package.
It depends on the scope, but we’ll always give you a clear estimate before starting. For what it’s worth, nearly all of our clients invest at least $30,000 per year in marketing.
We always look for quick wins, but meaningful and sustainable ROI often takes time. Our focus is to build strategies that pay off long after launch instead of chasing short-term spikes that disappear once a campaign ends. We will be clear from the start about what results you can expect and when, so you can set realistic expectations with your stakeholders.
Knowing what you have set aside to invest in marketing helps us recommend strategies that are realistic for your resources. Without knowing your budget, we could waste time exploring ideas that are too small to move the needle or too big to be practical.
The best fit clients are open about their budget, even if it’s “we could spend X but would be more comfortable starting at Y.” Just like you wouldn’t ask a realtor to show you both tiny houses and mansions without telling them your price range, sharing your budget from the start helps us focus on the best way to use it to reach your goals.
Probably! If this training is in an area we have expertise in, we can build a workshop or one-on-one session around it. We tailor training to your current skills, your tools, and your goals, so you get practical knowledge you can actually use right away. If the thing you are asking for training on isn’t in our wheelhouse, we’ll be honest about it and point you toward someone who can help!
No. We all got very good at working from home during the pandemic, and after a decade-long trajectory from the coworking basement to the loft to the pizza penthouse, we went fully remote in fall 2024. Our team is now spread across three provinces in Canada (Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario).
You can read our Land Acknowledgement to learn more about the places where we live and work. If you want to send us something by mail, our address is:

Not if they’re in your market. For example, if we work with a solar panel installer in Texas, we won’t take on another solar panel installation company in Texas. But we could work with one in Montana, since they wouldn’t be competing for the same customers. We keep our partnerships conflict-free so you can trust we’re fully focused on your success.
We don’t have a single rate because the value of our work depends on the expertise involved and the impact it creates. We use a blended approach that factors in skills, experience, context, and scope so you get the right people working on the right things for the best results. We don’t just sell time, we deliver results.
Because life is bigger than work. Moving to a four-day week in 2023 made us happier, healthier, and more productive. We have zero pointless meetings, we work more clearly, move faster, and support each other better. We cannot recommend experimenting with a four-day work week strongly enough!
Most marketing issues can wait until the next business day, and last-minute requests caused by poor planning aren’t emergencies. In the rare case of a true urgent situation, we have a process: every client gets a dedicated emergency email that instantly alerts key team members by text so we can respond quickly when it’s genuinely critical.
